We're back on.

Absolutely nothing's changed for Russia.  It's now January 1856 and everything's on hold while I chase down the last of the Khivan army.  I've managed to kill off a few sub-units in their army (if you wipe out a sub-unit entirely, it won't regenerate) but they're hiding out in the snowy mountains now so I'll have to wait until spring before I get after them again.

By the way, I'm not entirely clear:  Are you guys playing with a newer patch now, or did you end up having to roll back because of issues with the new update?

We're all running 1.03e right now, I think.  The newest patch isn't compatible with saved games from previous versions.

What do you know?  Two years to the day since Russia's last economic crisis and the game hits me with another one! (two years being the minimum amount of time the game allows between crises)  Yay, zero private capital and 23% inflation.  Don't worry France and Sardinia, I'm sure it won't affect you this time.....*snicker*
