Next turn

My troops are successful in Dakar!! They haven't taken back the region yet, but they have won the first battle!

I have another couple of divisions coming from France, to arrive at the end of next turn hopefully.

Further North my troops have arrived in Tripoli and have the capital besieged.

How are you guys handling the 'no F6' census bug? Is there another way to see that information?

What does it look like? Just curious what kind of information we're lacking.. Can you post a screenie?

If colonising was just a matter of building missions and trading posts i own all of East Africa nd the Horn of Africa, i have a coffee field in Harer and an Opium field in Mogadishu plus an exploitation centre in Mogadishu, dont know what it does, and i dont believe its doing anything but it allowed me to build it - i thought it might push trade through the area but it doesnt - im guessing i need a harbour to formalise shipping of the coffee and drugs, ill research further

and for Tuna, the census screen - pie charts showing the happiness, social breakdown, militantism, education, religion and ethics splits

the needs of the masses

and the columns i mainly look at are happiness, Savoie been the grumpiest at 57%, and those crazy Alessandrians on 98% (the grumpiest also include the French <<Gallic shrug>>) and on the other side of the happy masks is the want for reform, currently at 100 in Piedmont and Sardinia, i assume this is for unification, the actions i can take to remedy high figures here are political ones that reduce the numbers by 3-5% so it seems a little pointless in their case, and i seem to be suffering no ill effects at high

Hmm.. I hope they fix that bug quickly so SDR and I get our Census Charts back!

Silent Disapproval Robot

Yes, it would be helpful especially as I have 100+ provinces.  There is a map mode that does show population happiness.  You can use that to spot troublesome areas (I wish they would have used colour coding instead of the actor's masks on the map) and then get some more info by mousing over the province and waiting for the tooltip to pop up.

I do hope they fix it soon. It's a useful screen. And damn you guys and your PoN PBEM AAR! I had to re-install PoN and start a game as the US.  :P

Last nights turns

Unfortunately the General in Dakar is resting, so there will be no Battle today in that region. Although the Ships did so some bombardment during the night.

In Tripoli, since I have an overwhelming majority (I think), I have put them in Assault Mode!.. Let's get this over with!

Silent Disapproval Robot

I think UCG might be up to something most underhanded.  The game has nation-specific music files yet when I ran the latest turn the usual sombre Russian songs were gone, replaced by Paganini's frenetic fiddle scratching.

Tuna

We got a few turns in tonight before SDR had to head off to work.

The French came out on top on two fronts! First We took Tripoli with the Assault!

Next d'Hilliers was Victorious in Dakar

The region is still in British hands though

Next Turn

The British have retreated from Dakar without a battle. It is now in our hands! They left behind an Artillery Unit and Supply, not sure if we will capture them next turn.

General de Bosquet is resting this turn. I decided to start a Railroad just North of Tripoli in Gabe. I am sending a Calvary Unit to protect the workers.

Ordered up some dearly needed replacements.

Third turn of the night.

Another Victory in Dakar by d'Hillier's Men!..

I was going to move d'Hillier into Banjul (where the 'Crisis' occurred), but it said it would take 50 days.. So I canceled that move.

I think I will sue for peace instead, since I gained Dakar back to save face.

In Tripoli General de Bosquet is still resting :-(

Some of my Merchants brought home for repairs
