I'll be buying this regardless and as my posts will testify I support Matrix Games but the one aspect I don't enjoy of their customer service is the secrecy on pricing.  I understand a guestimate has already been released but why can't they tell us a few days in advance what the price will be?

Needless to say it will be worth it for my gaming dollar but that end of customer service could be improved plus a discount for peeps who already bought a game in the series would be kind.  IMO.  :)

Magic Eight Ball says regular price $79.99.

;)
In yer dreams - I'm going for $100.

WitE was £60.99 which in todays money is $96

I'm not getting it...I'm not getting it...I'm not getting it  O:-)

Damn that's steep. The war didn't cost that much.
Britain is almost about to finally pay off it's WWI debt...war DOES cost that much - and more.  :idiot2:

Sir Slash

A country that pays it's debts? What is wrong with you Brits? Must be the Kidney Pie.

But it's a 'premium' game!

Fell for that once with WITE.. easy to resist now..

Ditto.

Still, it wouldn't surprise me if WitW releases around the price-point Nefaro indicated -- below the $95-100-spot that WitE set us back, more around $75/80.

I'm taking a the "wait and see" approach to WitW that I should've taken with WitE. Plus, I won't buy anything until someone mods that god-awful map.  I thought WitE's map was a little bland but overall, OK (in fact the only OK graphics aspect of the whole game). I can't believe how hideous WitW's map is.  Jeez.

Give him a couple hours.

It's just a matter of time.

well....I did resist on Civilisation Beyond Earth.

I also (mostly) didn't buy anything in the sale...so I think my resolve is getting better.

Though I did notice a new Rugby Management game on Steam (NOT the Cynide one)...but I can't find reviews...and it's literally just popped on there, so I am very dubious about it's release.  :-\

I took to wondering about the manual.

IIRC the printed manual for WitE was NOT the manual, but a cut down version - most likely with specific sections...but it wasn't the full manual. That, I believe, might be a European restriction on the size of boxes and therefore you can't get the full manual in the box.

I wonder if it's the same for WitW? Full printed bound manual? Or cut down version?

Have you seen the manual for it?  :o

ERutins

It's the whole thing!  We could not have fit the full manual into the normal box, which is part of the reason why we went with the larger hardbound manual format, so that we could print the full manual and it would also be much nicer and easier to read.

JudgeDredd

It does look nice - and I do like printed manuals - but what will the price be Erik? Any chance you can give us a heads up?  :-*
