Can the known universe accommodate 2 active Friday threads.... isn't this like what they thought would happen when the LHC got switched on

Thanks Tuna...it must have been a spell because formerly happy cities all dropped to near -500 in happiness in only one turn.

What I did to remedy the situation was move any troops just outside the city boundaries.. their Morale rose right back up to normal. Also they were close enough so that if some enemy or independents moved in to attack the City, I was able to move in quickly to counterattack.

FYI if you kill or beat the enemy that threw the spell, the spell will then disappear. I think there is a counter spell, but I was not able to find it. I think there's a protection spell (which I did research), but you have to apply it before the enemy throws the bad one.

The AI was relentless with this spell (if that's what it was). After rebelling, the AI faction that made peace with me would move in, put down the rebellion and seize the city for itself. This happened twice before I was snuffed out. Is the AI that good in AoWIII?

Whatever you do, don't cross the streams!

Another thing it can be, is the species might not 'like' the terrain.. You can hold the mouse over the species Icon and it will say what type it likes. It will also tell you whether the unit is unhappy or not.
You can either move them out of the 'bad' terrain, or acquire some spells to terraform the land to how they like it. IF you have a mixed army that might pose a problem. You can hold the mouse over the terrain and it will tell you the land type as well.

^That was it! Terrain modifiers. Damn that sucked. Credit to the AI for jumping all over me at a time of weakness, though.

So now - a new AoWIII game or dive into Shadow of Mordor...
