I think the point they're trying to make is that if you're going to try to sneak one religion into the school, be prepared for every other religion to follow - even (especially!) the ones you don't like.  Don't want kids bringing that home?  Don't try to insist on prayer in the schools...

The way I learned this stuff in school is to turn it around.

If you want a Christian prayer over the PA system, see if you'd like it if they did it for Islam. Or Satan, in this case. If you don't think you'd like that, it's probably not a good idea.

How about Judaism?  :P 

For that matter, I've always kinda wondered how American Jews feel about this subject.  Is Christianity close enough to their beliefs that they're more-or-less okay with it?  Or do they secretly think it's a Really Bad Idea (but are generally too polite to say something)?  Or something else entirely?  Are their opinions as divided as the rest of the public?

myself and just about every American Jew I know think that there should be no religion in public schools.  thats what Sunday school is for.
and we only let the puns slip so far to give MD's question a bit of serious consideration.

..and from what I can tell, the "Satanists" are being kind of tongue in cheek. Sort of like "worshipers" of the Flying Spaghetti Monster or the Invisible Pink Unicorn. Though the latter two are focused more on trying to demonstrate the absurdity of religion in general.
