Man, if they could just take this approach with the 40k main game in PC form, ala Chaos Gate.

I don't care if the campaign is as linear as DoW2 (and sequels). Replayability is in the eye of the beholder or words to that effect.

I'm staying cautiously optimistic about Deserts of Kharak. There has been very little hype for a game that should be a major eagerly anticipated return to a favored universe. Additionally, one of the things that made Homeworld so unique was the space combat that incorporated movement in the Z-axis. Sure the aesthetic was very cool, but it was the gameplay in which the game really excelled. The new game takes place entirely on planet...it seems like it will be more of a traditional RTS wrapped up in Homeworld's cool skin. It will most likely be a good game, but won't be as ground breaking as e original titles.
