Grexit would have started the dominos afew years back, I would be surprised to hear now, after stress tests, along with the years to fix things, nothing has changed. Is that so?

EU Banks are stronger.  Many of the weakest economies are on a somewhat more sound footing.

But the EU area as a whole has had little economic growth for a decade.  You can pin the blame on lack of growth on whatever you choose (I would pick too much business regulation, inflexible labor rules, and high taxes - others might not agree).  In contrast, the US economy has had massive growth in two sectors - tech (especially handling information) and oil/gas extraction.  Where has the EU growth been?

I only took a quick glance at EU growth, but the outlook doesn't look too good.  It's predicted there will be some growth in Lithuania & Ireland for the next year, that's it.

So apparently greece has now stopped coorporating with the EU kommsion, ECB and IMF.
So in about 1 month they are bankrupt

And yet Again the Greek government is showing its bizare face.
Now they want to ban the hotels from selling all inclusive rooms, because it apparently Hurts the small restaurants in the area around the hotels.

Well none of that will matter since they will probably soon nationalise it all anyway.

I heard a report that the new Greek gov't may threaten to veto future EU sanctions against Russia, which require a unanimous vote, in an attempt to pressure Germany and others to give Greece better debt terms.

Is there any mechanism in the EU's charter for expelling a member?

And now we have big demonstrations in Spain against repaying the loans. And it seems the politicians WHO wants to default is going to win a landslide.
cant wait for the Euro to go boom, and hopefully EU with it.

I'm not sure how it can be avoided. Some semblance will probably remain - a Franco-Prussian French-German alliance of some kind. Not sure who else would want to be a part of it. Maybe the Benelux countries.

That's actually how it started - originally there was a joint steel-producing venture between France and Germany. The idea being that if they integrated steel production it would be easier to keep an eye on what was going out the door for military use. From that it grew slowly to what we have today. Somewhere in between is probably a sweet spot. Given all the terrorists moving about Europe, I wouldn't be surprised to see them start to rein in the free travel of people across borders.

Let's get the order of business correct - Sparta should first pay reparations for the Peloponnesian War. Then we can get to more modern conflicts.
