I don't like everything she does, but I like Melissa McCarthy.  I thought she was a great choice.

+1 I actually like the idea of all female leads. However, I'm sceptical that it's going to be a good film. The first one was an almost perfect movie and the 2nd was such a dud.  And now with Harold Ramis gone, I wish they'd just leave it be.

Think of it as an homage, rather than a remake or reboot.  Paul Feig worked with McCarthy on The Heat, and I rather enjoyed that.

Lol. I like Paul Feig's work, but Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy are two of my least favorite actresses. So I'm going to have to pass :P

Kristen Wiig is in it, too, non?  I like her.  Bridesmaids was a good movie.  And has anyone seen So This Is 40?  McCarthy has a small part in that and the ad lib in the principals office is pretty good.
