GJK:  Do not think yourself mad.  I still fire up CMx1 from time to time and enjoy it immensely.  I've got an Operation: Epsom stored on my PC somewhere for CM:AK...probably over a hundred turns in.

It remains one of the greatest game series ever created...regret nothing!!

It works great for me, always has.  I have it modded the way that I like with an "ASL" interface and terrain that looks pretty darn good for being 10-12 years old.  Tanks look great, the soldiers look like crap but I never zoom in that close anyways so I don't care.  My opponent, some guy from Russia that found me on one of my old CM websites emailed and asked if I were interested in a 2000 pt game.  Hell yeah, let's give it a go.  It's been a blast all the way thus far.

why im jumping-in here is because I just bought CM touch for android for a couple of GBP, not tried it out yet, but hopeing it will carry on the series well

Don't get your hopes up, GL. The game is pretty nerfed for Android.

I believe that CMFI is slated to get the next module after the Bulge Family starter.  So, for whatever reason, they continue on with CMFI while CMRT is now a back water.

I have the whole CMBN product line.  Supposedly some new "Battle Pack" product will be available.  BF claims they make the best scenarios/campaigns/maps/whatever, so they are outsourcing this to one of the 'designers'.  I wasn't a fan of his work on Market Garden, but I guess it doesn't hold up development, so maybe it will keep him busy.  I guess the drift is to entice CMBN buyers to go the whole route and purchase all the modules and pack and then the "Battle Pack".  I still can't figure out how they will protect the battle-pack from being copied/shared.  It seems to be just a collection of bbt files but who knows?

To be honest, I have no desire for the 'modern' products (or futuristic) and never bought CMSF and won't even play the CMBS demo anymore. 

I actually wish they would do the 1943 eastern front family starter instead of anything else.  The infantry side of the game, combined with 'busy' close-in terrain, becomes a drag.  George MC did a great job on the Carius scenario recently...

I would rather play this than almost any other eastern front scenario included in the game.

RT won't be a backwater forever. They're just going back to give the West and Southern Fronts some love, after having spent a lot of time working on the East Front.
