  It's a big weekend.  May be doing some heavy boardgaming in the new basement domain of incipient masculinity.  So that would be Wing Leader, and maybe Fontenoy and maybe early Macedonian battles against the Phocians, Mercenaries and Athenians.

Do you play Wing Leader alone? I thought it was 2 player?

  I play almost everything alone.  It makes having a poor grasp of the rules an advantage in terms of unexpected game-play.  Oh and yes, Wing Leader is two-player.

Hello Friday. My name's Slash and I'm a Game-aholic and don't want to be cured. I embrace the disease and try to smother it with my few unspoken for hours of life left. There's just too many damned good games to play one at a time and I'm too Single-Task oriented to do 2 or 3 at the same time. DC: Case Blue has sucked me back in again for another beat-down. I feel like a battered spouse. I've still got the Pillars of Eternity itch to scratch along with Pools of Darkness and the poor pickletruppen left in mid-combat in CM-Everything are wondering where the hell I've been for so long. And now The Thirty Years War is here to torment me anew. If I win the lottery this weekend, I'm going to hire somebody really good to play some of these frigging games for me!

Campaign: Waterloo (PBEM) -- At least someone has died...different than our first go-round where few did before the French turned round and decided they'd never make it over the Sambre.

CMAK:  Amazing how quickly one forgets the quirks of CMx1...that said, having a hoot playing tippy-tap with my opponent near Anzio.  He decided to engage my long Shermans with PZIVs at just under a kilometer's range...going badly for him at the moment...

And I have promised myself that I will sticker and play my copy of Waterloo 200.

Oh, and Sicily was conquered in far less time than it's taken Vance to send a SINGLE TURN in our PzC Sicily game...just sayin'...

Since it's a long weekend I'll make every effort to start up Sicily again. Other than Wing Leader and CKII not much else except beers by the pool.

The Bro and Ishy are taking the girls to Huntsville, AL, to visit the Space Museum there for the weekend (which seems ambitious -- has it really expanded that much...?)

So I'll no doubt be free to play something. Not sure what yet. Armello likely; one or another version of MtG likely (Duels on Steam, Shandalar otherwise). May inch a bit farther in Far Cry 4. Blood Bowl 2 isn't out yet, drat, but I feel an urge to mess around with some turn-based GW properties, just not sure what. Maybe check in on how Mordheim is cooking. Re-install Arkham Knight overnight to complain about how the new patch is worthless.  :)) I've been picking at learning the match-4 tetris-y dungeon-designing game Tomb of Tyrants. Card Hunter, likely.

Selling off some unplayed board games tomorrow (for a total of around $450). Then I'll be hopping on to the fantasy football draft and mocking relentlessly. Then I really should play something, now that I've got my new 27" screen. Board gaming day on Sunday. Who the Hell knows what on Monday!

+1  Just got this a few days ago on sale at Steam, also got the Guardians dlc. IMHO...This is a good fantasy 4x game. I like the pacing, tech tree and city management aspects.

Yeah, I'm having fun this time. I think combat is a bit off but everything else I like. I also didn't know that a new DLC, Endless Legend - Shadows, it out (as of 9/2)! I'm torn between buying it or AGEOD's 30 Years War. This being Grogheads we all know I'll end up buying both.  ::)

I've gone on a bit of a shopping spree over the last week or so buying Pike and Shot Campaigns, Pillars of Eternity, Endless Ledgend: Shadows, Mad Max and Thirty Years War.

I'll be trying to play at least a few of them over the weekend but I may get distracted and go back to Civ:BE or GalCivIII.
