Local paper thinks it's time for a change at NC State, too
http://www.newsobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/luke-decock/article111377152.html

What's funny is that even in the face of mediocre results, the Internet Comment Brigade still wants to kill the messenger by just painting the author as a UNC cheerleader out to get NC State.

Article suggested that it would take big bucks to buy out the coach.  Does State have enough people willing to put up that amount of cash?

Probably not, that's one of the problems

That should about do it for the AFC East.

Is it too soon to say that the Vikings are officially imploding?  I know I probably shouldn't get too pessimistic too soon, but it's hard have a sunny outlook with all the injuries that are piling up (and how they're cumulatively starting to drag us down).

SEC East seems to be much weaker than the West again.  I was surprised Tennessee lost to the Gamechickens.
Kentucky is in 2nd place in the SEC East behind Florida??????

I was not surprised, although annoyed since we were watching it in a fancy pseudo-French restaurant for Mom's birthday.

We could still play Alabama again for the SEC championship if we win out our remaining games -- on which I am not holding my breath -- but we'd also need the SEC to schedule and play the missing LSU game, and they'd have to beat Bama. ...soooo, those are three breaths I am not holding.

We might get a moderately good bowl game against someone who will murder us and dance on our desecrated ashes, e.g. one of the key midwest teams, as usual.

They are playing that game in about 3 weeks in Baton Rouge. LSU will go to Florida for two straight years to make up the difference

And Jalen Hurd is leaving, soooooooo, your non-existent offense is supposed to do what, exactly, against that 'Bama D?  Pray for chaos.  That way, Kentucky can go as the East representatives and next year, Commissioner Sankey can implode the division structure and put everyone in the same division.

I would be so amused by that, I wouldn't even mind much for TN not being the East champion.

Our offense is fine, just too sporadic (I might even say too uncoordinated) to be reliable. And no offense is reliable against the Bama D, so that amplifies our sporadicality.  :P

(Be fair, our offense has rifled hard when all cylinders are firing.  8) )
