I just find the entire UI clunky and unwieldy compared to CM2.   I do really like the campaign map and wish CM2 had something similar.

In honour of his seniority here it's customary every Friday to post a link to any Bon jovi song you like for Metal Dog and work the lyrics into the thread title - something like 'you give FRIDAY a bad name' - he loves that one

Metaldog is a usurper of the Friday thread, which was started a long ago in a remote corner of the galaxy and/or corner of the intrawebz.  But I encourage all mocking and punnery directed toward him.   O0

For the sake of accuracy and posterity, you are correct.  Bison is the originator of the Friday thread.  However, I was the one that introduced music in naming the thread and starting the opening post with it.  And if you all continue to torture me with Bon Jovi, I will be sure to start every FRIDAY thread from now until ever with some appropriately crappy music.  Like disco.  Or country.  Or dubstep.  See if I don't.

God MetalDog please don't....think i hate dubstep more than Jovi, i just realized that about myself. As far as gaming goes, MIUS Front baby, going to my daugthers talent show then going to lock and load Mius front. Looking forward to getting some graphics whore goodness on my new rig. As i relearn the game i'll set it too arcade mode and limited battle radius.I'm also in a DCB campaign using  free setup, things are going well so far. Been following Tigers on the Hunt and that made me want to load up combat command with its phased based game play.Seems like im in an all wargame mood.

We've got 3 kids, we had them in the space of 2.5 years.We've debated having another and even tried for while (happy days!!!). Probably not going to happen now.

On the gaming front, I'll be continuing with the PzB Normandy comp over at the Blitz and Doug and I are battling for Berlin in Danube'85.

paplan - sorry - I didn't know what your post meant. I believe congrats are in order. And as UCG says - normal practice is to honour MetalDog, anything Bon Jovi normally grabs his attention  >:D

JH - I absolutely love the GR series...especially the last one.

As for MOO3, I did watch one of your videos. As well done as it was (and kudos for doing them - anything for the community should be applauded), I just couldn't get into MOO3 (which I got as part of the MOO bundle) - not even with the help of your video...not after the beauty of the latest MOO. It may be a shell of the others and simplified, but it is stunning and I actually really enjoyed the game.

SOI= School of Infantry--sort of like an extension of boot camp for US Marines.
3-6 = Third Battalion, Sixth Marines Regiment (The regiment is often dropped, making it 3rd Battalion 6th Marines).  Legend has it that this battalion fought so fiercely in WWI, the Germans referred to them as Teufelhunden, thus the name "Devil Dogs" was born.
