Nothing for me either. I was thinking about jumping into CMANO again, but not at that price. Not even with the discount.  :knuppel2:

I think CMANO is one of the most impressive pieces of software I've ever seen.  I highly recommended, if you're into modern naval warfare, at full price.

It's more of a sandbox game, though, with all that entails.  Have appropriate expectations and you won't be disappointed.
I am so waiting to see if this brings out some trolling rants!  But I agree I love CMANO as well.  As wargamers we seem to have a trait that wants to love something so much that it needs to be compulsively destroyed

PS just used the coupon for a second time to pick up CS Middle East

My resistance didn't last long, ended up buying Tigers on the Hunt and then downloaded the VASL graphics mod and The Guards Counterattack SL/ASL user made scenario (amongst others)  :smitten:

Even though it is 10+ years since I last pushed ASL counters round a map I found the whole game very intuitive after a brief skim of the manual.

Decided to get Heroes of Stalingrad. I figure it will help be learn the system basics faster.

Time to get that Campaign Series: Middle East copy now if you haven't yet!  O:-)

Crap. I'm totally buying it when I get home.

Thank you mirth, appreciated!

1.01 UPDATE available with improved graphics etc, with official 1.02 UPDATE out in late April methinks. 1.02 BETA available already too, for those interested in such things.

:)

Thanks for the info. I did pick it up and will be installing it this weekend.

Well damn i have everything i want from Matrix. Looked but nothing i dont already have. Take a look at combat command, its under $14  has quite a few scenarios and is simple to get up and running and the AI is decent. It's a desert rats and danger forward compilation,  500 meter hexes, company sized units and phased game play with 2 hour day turns, 4 hour night turns. The graphics are pretty simple but you get scenarios in the west front, east front, Africa, Italy its worth a look at this price.

+1

Combat Command is truly a hidden gem. I bought it a few years ago. It is well worth the purchase even at full price, and the sale price makes the value even better. It is a true wargame, and even allows you to see each dice roll. The game boasts 42 scenarios which will keep you busy for quite awhile.

I am so waiting to see if this brings out some trolling rants!

It's the first game I've used the Steam refund system for.  Bought it at half price in the last sale, looked at it, looked at some tutorial vids, and thought, "Err...no".  Totally "It's not you, it's me" type of break up, so I'm not trolling.

I've been on a Close Combat kick lately since I never played the series. After buying Gateway to Caen and Panthers in the Fog during the Steam sale last month, I just bought Last Stand Arnhem for this sale.

Also installed the excellent Gold Juno Sword mod for LSA.

Thinking about War Plan Orange or Tigers on the Hunt. Even at 30% off TotH may still be too rich for my blood given the lack of MP and a few other issues, but I am intrigued at all of the mods that are coming out.

I hadn't thought of Combat Command until it was mentioned above. Thanks for complicating things for me budd!  ;D

No complication, apparently you can use the coupon more than once ;)  I wasn't really looking at anything but now im thinking about BA2. I will probably just wait, there's always the holiday sale i already bought Mius front,TOTH, DCB and CO2 modules this year, think i'm stocked up on wargaming.

Word.  I'm nearly just like you but opted for Cross of Iron instead so I could get my bolshevik bustin' on.

Bought Combat Command and it was a good choice. Great system and some interesting scenarios, plus editor. A steal at $14!

I have had the game for 3 years now and I still haven't played all of the scenarios.

All future games will 'splain to me how a few-man show like Combat Command can have an elegant PBEM system and they can't.

Intriguing little thing for a very small price.
