Met JackNastyface today and had a fun (but deadly) game of Sails of Glory.  It was a long day (15 hours) and my skull was pounding pretty good by the end of it.  Some fantastic looking miniatures and games on display.  The nerd quotient was off the charts.  These guys are old school nerds.  Neck-beards, greasy hair, B.O. pot bellies encased in T-shirts that are 2 sizes too small, and random bickering over historical gaming minutiae.  I felt right at home.

Star Wars: Battle of Mos Eisley. Some great looking minis.  The scenario was pretty rough though.  There was no way for the rebels to win other than to survive 20 rounds of punishment from the Empire.  I didn't enjoy being a punching bag for that long...

Bunch of other stuff I didn't get a chance to take a look at but would have liked to.

Nice pix.

I have to say that the camo work in those Canuck v. SS shots is very good!

The Magnificent Seven.  (My pics don't do this any justice.  This guy's setup was amazing.)

Yeah, I deleted the wrong ones.  The SS units were already inside the buildings in those shots and the Canucks hadn't come on the board yet.

There were a lot of really nice setups on display.  I was running Wings of Glory and Sails of Glory sessions and never got the chance to get photos of a lot of the games going on.  The Magnificent Seven scenario looked like a lot of fun.  Shame I missed out on it.  There was a really cool looking samurai battle with some great looking minis.  The Top Gun F-14s vs Mig-23s looked like it was fun as well.  The amount of work that went into the Zombie Zoo scenario (undead lions everywhere!) and the Ghostbusters in the Subway scenario was very impressive.  They might not have looked as nice as the other games but the girls who were running them made everything from scratch and judging by the chatter coming from both tables, everyone was having a lot of fun playing both games.

Nice to see all the games going on but I think I'm going to limit myself to about 6 hours in total next time around.  15 hours on Sat and 6 on Sun was too much.

Awesome shots, and thanks for hosting Sails of Glory.  Just FYI...The Emperor himself promoted me to Capitaine de vaisseau for sinking an experienced british 74 with a single rake from my 50 gun frigate.  Vive l'Empereur!
Now, the problem is, how to divide five Afghans from three mules and have two Englishmen left over.

Well, you were the only Frenchman not at the bottom of the sea and the award had to go to someone.

Just FYI...if I did the math right....the chance of pulling 3 "leak" markers on four draws from the "orange" damage deck is approximately .03 percent; the chance of pulling 2 fire markers (which is what happened to the Commerce) from the orange deck is .5 percent.

Yeah, should have bought a lotto ticket on the way home.  The damage right off the bat was ridiculous!  I think the fire odds for the Commerce were a lot higher though as there had already been a fair number of orange damage chits dealt out by that point.
