She was the Mom from Everybody Loves Raymond, but I remember her from so much before that. RIP.

She was so good at playing the nosy Mother-In-Law that my wife uses her scenes as Instructional Videos before any family get together. Of course it helps that they copied Boyle's character after me.

Definitely miss Boyle. He did EVERY role with such comedic talent, and he and Doris were perfect in their roles on that show.

Raymond's wife annoys the hell out of me...I've read she's something of a shrew in real life, or was...but regardless, Roberts and Boyle were definitely the highlights of that show.

I think Patricia Heaton gets a bad rap for being a fairly outspoken conservative, which goes over like a lead balloon in Hollywood. She's quite good in her most recent show, The Middle.

I remember her from Remington Steele.  Didn't watch Raymond much, so I remember her more from the other role

Raymond is a pretty good show.  And it's mostly for Ray's family, his mom, dad, and brother.

She played a widowed mother in another sitcom, Angie.  Always felt the Marie was an older version of that character.

Peter Boyle was so cool.  His first date with his future wife was at the studio cafeteria while shooting Young Frankenstein.
Because of the shooting schedule he was in full costume and makeup.
Must have been a lot of fun.  His wife must have been cool, too.
