Captain America Civil War

I am booked and primed with my Marvel mad daughter to go and see this on Friday. We are hoping for Marvel picking up a bit...their last offering (Ultron) was good - very good - but it dropped a bit from previous titles imo.

Hm. Early review buzz indicates it's much better than Ultron but NOT as epic -- as befits the plot.

On the other hand, the introduction of [spoiler]-Man, which has been kept mostly secret so far, could be pretty epic in its own right, for the brief time he's in action.

Well been to see it.

Very good. Great story. Good journey.

I don't want to give too much away...but Spidey was superb. I thought (when I saw him in the trailers) that it was a daft move...I just didn't see how he fitted in...but he did...marvellously imo.

I like the humour throughout - some real LOL moments and not overly done...the funny parts that were there were well placed and genuinely funny.

My top 5 Marvel films are

Deadpool
The humour and action in this was just amazing
Guardians of the Galaxy
Loved the universe, the acting, the story and the characters
Captain America:Winter Soldier
Loved the gritty-ness of this one...it just seemed more serious/dark
Captain America:Civil War
It's the Cap - enough humour and action to keep you entertained and a great story thrown in

I actually enjoyed Thor: Dark World more than CA: Winter Soldier.

Probably due to the extra dark & sci-fantasy-ish Dark Elves. And despite being regularly unimpressed with Natalie Portman's performances.

Yeah, I really liked the 2 Thor movies too. I thought the villain in the last one destroyed Britain so they couldn't show movies there early. Dammit.

I think the Thor movies were my least fav. I enjoyed them - but in the list of Marvel movies, they are competing near the bottom...though there really isn't a lot in it.

No...not worth the round ticket I'm afraid. But well worth another showing which we will be going to tomorrow or Monday.

It's very, very good. I don't know if that came across in my post, but it was late and I was tired and it had been a long week. A couple of things occurred I didn't see. Spidey was very, very good and fitted very well into the film. How he's brought in and how he plays out is just very well done.

Excellent fight scenes. A couple of obvious CGI bits, but not too many.

Ant man is fantastic. Vision was excellent - and one of my least fav from Ultron, but again, they fleshed him out well and he was placed well. The fight scene in Berlin (airport - in the trailers) looked odd to me in the trailer - but it's actually done extremely well.

So - it was superb.

Caveat - I am a huge Marvel fan. I've never had anything to do with the comics, universe, stories, films...but I'm a huge fan of the films they are churning out. They regularly get 8 and above from me. And my favourite character is Cap. He's just a legend and the fact he's everything good just makes him king of the Avengers (which he should be anyway as he was the first) O0
