I honestly don't know what I'm playing this weekend.

Lately I have been playing a lot of Day Z mod for ARMA 2.  I'm really surprised that it isn't generating more chatter here at grogheads given how much you guys are into all things zombie.  I had a pretty good run going, 3 nights alive, but my guy was starving to death and I got mortally wounded by a zed while I was scrounging around in a warehouse outside of some town.  It was a real bummer, too, because I was doing pretty good to that point.

I have been playing a lot of Rise of Flight as well, just trying to get back into it. 

I installed DCS:A-10 last weekend and got some touch and goes in.  I'm thinking seriously of shelving Falcon for a while and getting into DCS full time.  I like where they're going with the DCS World concept, and when this Combined Arms takes off I want to know how to do something in that world.  The thing holding me back more than anything is the extremely painful learning process of figuring out how to fly a new plane, and programing my HOTAS (and then getting the muscle memory for all of the buttons).  It's like I want to, but then when it comes time for execution I just can't generate the energy.  I need a lot of uninterrupted hours to do this and I don't get enough of those.

Strategy-wise, I think I'm burning out a bit on fantasy and medieval.  I am strongly considering going back to the Pacific Theater of Operations, either with WiTP:AE, or perhaps some boardgaming with Carrier or Flat Top.

That's the only reason I haven't yet bought a DCS sim.  Hell, I haven't even got Falcon 4:AF out of my system yet but just don't get the time to play it really.

It's times like these that I feel that perhaps I should have taken the Monk or the Barbarian.

Fun into you hit hell mode then you will really be banging your head into a wall.

I'll be playing demon hunter on Diablo. Took a few days off from playing it this week due to work and be frustrated with how melee is useless in hell mode. Now I'm going to take that frustration out on hell mode demon/undead by shooting arrow holes in them.

Going to fire up Crusader Kings II for the first time in a month, maybe with the Game of Thrones mod.

Probably end up playing a bit more Diablo 3. And I need to start something else up, but I still haven't decided what that something else will be. I might load up Civ V.

It took me 5 tries to get the installation down so that it worked.  It's not hard, but you have to do it in exactly the right order.

I have the ARMA 2 Combined Operations pack, hard copy.

Install ARMA 2.
Start ARMA 2, start a mission, close ARMA 2.
Install Operation Arrowhead INTO THE SAME FOLDER as ARMA 2.  This will create a shortcut called "Combined Operations".
Patch Op Arrowhead to version 1.6 (very important!).  This will install the lite versions of PMC and Brits.  You need these to get Day Z to work.
Start "Combined Operations".  Start a mission.  Exit from mission and Op Arrowhead.
Then create the @DayZ/Addons folder.  Copy/paste all of the unzipped DayZ files into there (should be 14 total).
Start Combined Operations.  Ensure the @DayZ mod is enabled.  Exit C Ops.
Finally, create your shortcut and edit the point so that it has "-nosplash -mod=@Dayz" and you should be good to go.  You have to do every one of these steps in the order I said.  If you miss a step, you have to uninstall and start over.

^I just recently got ARMA II so I am trying to play through that campaign before getting the Day Z mod.  By that time hopefully it will be a bit more stable.

Other then that this weekend I think I have a boadgaming night, work, and perhaps some ARMA II or Tropico 4.

FWIW...I'm within sight of finishing the original Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Assault campaign.  I might see if I can find and install the Red Hammer and Resistance campaigns, next.

I reinstalled Unity of Command, since I played it to death during the beta, but hadn't touched it since.  It will keep me busy until the new version of Endless Space hits Monday evening.

Tgb, how do u like Unity? I liked War in the East but get tired of all the pieces. Is it complex? I'm hoping  it is but not overly so?

I've been keeping my eye open for this one as well and would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the game.

I love it, and it's a lot less complex than WitE.  It's not quite as beer-n-pretzels as Panzer Command, but a lot is abstracted.  Individual scenarios are relatively small and can be finished in less than an hour, without a lot of units to push around.

I hit a wall with Diablo 3.  I absolutely love the game, but after logging somewhere around 100 hours or so I needed a break.  Mostly from the new found death phase I found on Chapter 2 with my Monk.  There is more farming to be done, but I don't have the energy to deal with it right now.

So....

I've switched my attention to a 4X game and will be playing on a SotS campaign through out the weekend.
