Sir Slash

I can't seem to get enough of Pillars of Eternity lately. I think, "Just one more quest then I'll give it a break" but then another shiny thing comes along and I'm off. About to begin my first Dragon hunt so.... there's no use resisting. Have a Groggy weekend Grogs.

Ah, the Smithereens; had a Mike Mesaros Rickenbacker bass back in the day - good times.

Anyhoo, got 2-3 weeks of yard work to tackle if the weather lets me.  Otherwise, Verdun, World of Warships, and Mount and Blade: Napoleonic Battles are what I'm looking forward to.

Amusingly enough, my boy likes the Napoleonic stuff, so I need to see if I can steer him toward some similarly themed strategy games.  :)

Pretty busy weekend for me however what time I do have will probably be spent with Heroes of the Storm, and the paradox trilogy of Vicky 2, HoI3 & Stellaris
Insert witty comment here.

I will definitely not be playing Stellaris.  :P

I will probably be playing some Spellforce, the collection(s) of which I've owned forever both on disc and on Steam. I finally got through the tutorial, after at least two prior attempts -- not that the game is hard or anything, but I usually get distracted by something else -- and I feel like I'm ready to mess with the actual campaign now. (The first campaign of the first game. There are, like, seven or eight now??)

My Grand Ages: Medieval campaign may get some attention, too.

All this will no doubt be pointless once Total Warhammer is released.

Verdun, eh?  Probably my worst purchase of 2015.  Man, I wanted to like that game but everytime I play it anymore....yuck.

Stellaris or World of Warships when I can sneak it in at night. Sorry MD, probably won't be able to do our usual Saturday session, as I think the Honey To Do list will be big this weekend.

Will be playing Stellaris, checking out the new Polaris Sector beta patch and recording some music at home. I love me guitars.

I've been playing this little Unity game this afternoon while waiting for other things at work, and it is adorable. But in a good fantasy way, not in a super-deformed sacchrine JRPG kind of way. The game has character in spades, and looks sharp as hell, and you can't beat the sale price which is free (plus less than $2 for cosmetic outfits for your troll, which dress him up as Iron Man or Batman or Robocop or a Stormtrooper or various other properties, including with mix-and-match functionality.)

I'm eagerly looking forward to burning through this game over the weekend. (It can't be too long, considering it's free.)

Not even kidding, I'm not sure I've simply loved a little game as much since Sang Froid: Tales of Werewolves.

Last week it was pretty much going to be mainly Stellaris for me but playing a bit of that made me actually spend more time playing Distant Worlds: Universe, I'm not really sure why as it is not that I disliked Stellaris and even though I've had DW since it came out I haven't really played that much of it. I suspect I'll probably play a bit more DW:U over the weekend.

Also on a whim and because I have no self control I've just picked up Last Days of Old Earth, just finished the tutorial and really like it's obvious Armageddon Empires inspiration (don't mind the graphic style of LDOE either), I think I might be playing a fair bit of this over the weekend as well.

The developers should call Verdun "Instant Death Every Time." :(

This weekend is graduation at West Point and we have Air BNB'd our house...so no gaming for me. I will sum up the wisdom of this move in its entirety when we all return home Sunday afternoon.

If I were home I would play some more Pillars of Eternity (just got my keep on Wednesday) and perhaps start AssCreed: Rogue or AssCreed: Black Flag. A new campaign in Attila: TW also beckons.

I am still holding out on buying Total War[hammer] but will be buying Sengoku Jidai as soon as I am reunited with My Precious.

Work this weekend (as I do every  :tickedoff: weekend). But during my time off,

Stellaris (my near "sniff" ancient PC seems to handle it nicely) - I read a great article on Matchsticks for My Eyes  and he covered Stellaris with an "Empire of the Shimmering Stars." check it out.

I have been digging into the first novel of  "Legend of the Galactic Heroes Vol:1 Dawn " I found it at B&N a couple weekends ago. Apparently this is the first time they're releasing it translated into English. The second novel comes in a few months. Just to find some ideas for a possible mod.

MD, excellent video pick.

Thank you, CJReich  O0

Tuna, if the Honey Do list is that long, how are you going to find time to play Stellaris or WoW?  Sounds like you're just ditching me.  :(

I'm seriously thinking of giving Silent Hunter 4 another try.  I really haven't spent much time with that game, and I'm in a submariney mood.

I'm sure I'll play some FPS games- ARMA 3 or Rising Storm or something.

I'll likely round things out with Scourge of War: Gettysburg and Madden 25 on the Xbox.

ARMA3 is possible.  Definitely Op Star.
