Steam Summer Sale - DAMAGE Thread

[DennisS]

The missus just bought me a $50 steam card..so the options are near limitless. No purchases yet, but I need a consensus on the following:

Sengoku Jidai - I own Pike and Shot already..is this a significant upgrade?

Bastard Bonds - tactical RPG, getting very good reviews

Age of Gladiators

Sentinels of the Universe - VERY heavily discounted..I can get the entire game, with DLCs, for $18

Elder Signs: Omens

HOI IV

Trackday Manager

Parkitect

Tropico 5 Complete, for $10. I already have the base game, but this adds a very large number of DLC..cheap as hell.

I'm not a fan of oriental warfare, mainly because of my limited knowledge, but I actually prefer SJ over Pike and Shot. Aesthetically it is more pleasing and the addition of generals makes a difference. Worth getting, for sure.

Sweet...I stuck with what I posted earlier:

Pillars of Eternity - The White March Expansion Season Pass (White March parts 1&2) - 18.74

Wasteland 2 Director's Cut Classic - 19.99

Flying Tigers - Shadows Over China - 10.71

Total: 49.44

...installing now.

I got Atlantic Fleet today, really cheap, and really good.
Oh, and there is a tool to help you to decide if the discount rate is worth it, from this website: https://steamdb.info/
search for the game you want to buy, you will see the price history of your currency, some games had much lower discount rate in earlier sale, so maybe if you don't need the game right now, you can wait to go further lower in the next sale.

[JudgeDredd]

I added a couple of Train Simulator DLC's to my list

So far that's £55

[Anguille]

Ah...got some games (and maybe it's not over).

- NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Sphere of Influence
- Saint Seiya: Soldiers' Soul

And some DLCs for Endless legend and Age of Mythology

[Gusington]

For Pillars of Eternity White March 1 & 2, do I have to do anything manually to install it? Steam tells me they will install automatically but Steam and the game itself is also telling me that they are not installed.

Anyone have thoughts on Sol Trader?  Looks intriguing.

[Sir Slash]

The White March part 2 installed automatically for me Gus. I didn't have to do anything but complete the purchase. I can't remember what I did for part 1.

[Pinetree]

I'm pretty tempted with Pike & Shot: Campaigns for NZ$23.99. I know almost nothing of the period but this would give me impetus to learn more.

[Gusington]

Thanks Slash...I just had to restart Steam, it was hung up counting everyone's money.

[Hofstadter]

If you like the Alien films. Get Dusker.

Trust me, just get it. I got hard.
