When you're retired, it's always Friday. Or Saturday, Sunday or what ever day you want it to be.... except Monday. Never Monday. It's also always 5 o'clock, or bedtime if you want. In fact my wife often tells me, "Isn't it time for you to go bed now"?

She isn't holding a kitchen knife when she says that, I hope.

I'm not Canadian but have listened to these guys for the last 25 years.  They are simply the best band you've never heard of.  Losing Gordie will be a great loss for the Canadian music scene.

As far as gaming; I'm in a bit of a funk.  I'm in a D&D mood but can't figure out what will scratch the itch.

Working on my wife's Win 10 laptop. Trying to figure out why it keeps losing the DVD drive. Looks like some registry tweaking. I am really trying to talk her into trying Linux. All she needs is email, internet and an office clone. I think she would be a perfect candidate to switch off of the most evil of operating systems.  ;D

If I get some time: IL-2 1946. I figured out you can boost the resolution by tweaking the conf.ini file manually. Looks and runs great on my HD monitor. GoG now has it patched up to 4.13.

Me, the usuals.  Some ASL with a buddy tomorrow.  Another buddy wants to play a silly WWI block game on Sunday but he's supplying the bourbon so how can I refuse?  I have a pbem of 'Thunder at the Crossroads' (Gettysburg) still ongoing and I have a solo run of the game in my table.  I have some graphics work to do for a solitaire ASL system that a friend has been developing and I'm looking to get another pbem of some Blood Bowl going to scratch my football itch.

I'm playing Order of Battle Pacific: US Marines in an attempt to write a campaign AAR.
Also playing my pinball machine.

But most of the weekend was massive clearing & cleaning of the garage so my wife can park in it again.  Starting putting stuff in it for the master bath renovation in June 2013 and have not been able to park a car there since.

I am still playing Hegemony 3 since the new patch released, still enjoying all the changes, the AI however still bad in organizing a large army attack.
Other than that I bought Grand Ages: Rome on sale, I played the demo before, but played it more now, I think this is one of the best city building ever.
Played some of M&B:W viking conquest DLC sandbox mode, was hyped after watching the siege video of the new M&B.

I think I spent the weekend mostly playing either Magic Duels (on Steam) or, relatedly, getting the new Shandalar campaign update working. (Which I won't post links to since it has to be several kinds of illegal.)

I first discovered that fans have been updating the Shandalar campaign game with new Magic: the Gathering cards, last August around this time! So checking in was a nice surprise to see matters continuing to progress, even though the newest build (known as HS1) is rather buggy. But the next most recent build (known as DL2) is working good and has received some bug fixes.

(For those who have no idea what I mean by the Shandalar campaign, I mean this. Still no links at that DAR, though. I don't want anyone, especially the forum, getting in trouble.)

I'm in love with the Dynamic Recon Ops missions. There are missions for all ARMA 3 islands. Its the mission that keeps on giving.

We should all really try to get together for some MP. I don't play much MP at all, so not sure if even possible to set up a mission as a server and invite people to join, but we'd have a lot of fun if its possible.

This is entirely possible - I've joined other players' games and even hosted myself for coop missions.  Can't remember exactly how to do it (host probably has to port-forward), but it's not complicated.

I may do some solo ARMA3.  On Tanoa with tribesmen from Unsung!  JinBoa Cheeba!  Also Mordheim, mostly because it isn't much like most games I play.  On the boadgame front, it looks like PQ17 is coming out of its icy shell some time soon.

Some of that happened and PQ-17 is on the table.  The big hit of the weekend was Battle of Moscow.

The southern, eastern and western badlands have been cleared of Orcs and Goblins, i can consolidate the armies and now head North to tackle the Vampires and Chaos
