[Silent Disapproval Robot]

I went to see this earlier today because it's not based on a comic.  It's the story of Operation Anthropoid, the mission to assassinate Reinhard Heydrich, mastermind of The Final Solution.  The film looked great and did an excellent job of conveying the tension of people living under occupation and the struggle between the desire to fight back against the knowledge of what the reprisals will bring.   Unfortunately, the pacing was rather uneven and really bogged down in the middle with the usual "gotta throw in some romance...for the ladies" nonsense that studios demand.

Still, it's true WWII history, it's not yet another remake, and it's not based on a comic book so it's well worth seeing. 

As a side note, I also saw a poster for a movie called Operation Chromite. It's currently playing and stars Liam Neeson as Gen. MacArthur during the Korean War.  I'd never even heard of it.  I'm wondering if it's mainly a Korean movie with Liam thrown in as a draw for international box office as I live in the heart of Korea-town and the theatre regularly plays Korean language movies.  Still, might have to check it out regardless because again, no comic books.

Thanks for the posts. I thought long and hard about seeing Anthropoid but haven't yet. The other one I've never heard of either but it looks good. But don't they all in the trailers?
