Does anyone have experience with Revolution Games Ironbottom Sound?  In my youth, I loved the old Quarterdeck version.

It's a little pricey, so looking for thoughts before I push "buy"

Is that the same system as the old one from VG?  Or AH.. I don't recall exactly.

Thought that was fairly popular, back in the day.  But this may be different.

That price is up there, too.  Don't blame you for wanting to be sure.

Good to know.

I saw it there, a short time ago when someone posted a link to the publisher's site.

Filed this specific game in my ever-huge Want List, but the $70 price made me recoil in terror.  I mean - it doesn't look like a huge game, having only two countersheets for example.

I've put a hold on my tabletop purchasing right now, anyway.  With the Late War Wing Leader P500 sequel shipping next month, that'll be the only new one I get until quite a ways into next year.

I managed to find a copy of the original 1981 version on ebay for $10.  If I like it, I will probably save my pennies for the latest version....

I tell myself things like this all the time.
