Tiller's CS -- which will be getting a remake in the future with Matrix' CS team. Sacrifice most of the naval assets (aside from landing boats, that kind of thing): you can't have everything.

Oddly, I've never been a huge fan of naval games  :uglystupid2:

I haven't been here that long, so excuse my noob-i-ism, but am I right in saying that most threads here start off serious and then slowly degenerate to toilet humor and childish banter?

I can recommend the MTW2 English Civil War mod "For King or Country" at the TWCenter and I know Sauron is ecstatic about the 30 Years War mod there as well.

OK, a brief interlude...

You might want to have a look at thishttp://www.matrixgames.com/store/370/World.War.II:.General.Commander, acctingman.  I played the demo and was intrigued by the way you could zoom seamlessly from map to looking at tanks and guns  It doesn't pretend to be deep or complex, but offers a strategy/tactics game with some 3D graphics.
