Frankly I don't care what they buy, but buy something!  The CF-18s we have now are older than the pilots.

If our helicopter procurements are any indication, the CF-18s will be around until the next century.

all too true.  And don't get me started on ship procurement!

Unless its a crisis, everything gets caught up in bureaucratic red tape for 5 to 10 years.  And of course when things take that long, you end up with a change of government and that just brings in more delays.

And we lost a CF-18 pilot in a crash at the Cold Lake weapons range over the weekend.   It would be criminal if it turns out to be due to age related defects in the plane.

Trudeau was mute on the loss.  Too busy singing the praises of his hero Fidel to notice, I guess.
