Freeform ABC will also be doing a Cloak and Dagger series.

If they're doing the New Warriors, it seems verrrryyy likely they'll use this as a strategy for seguing into Miles Morales as Spider-man for the MCU.

Marvel's business plans concerning movie-franchises just gets weirder and weirder.

After years of people criticizing them for having fractured the main franchise into several smaller ones (X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, and the Avengers (nee Leftovers)),
And them finally getting control back of Spider-Man and integrating him into the Leftover/Avenger franchise, they now split the Leftovers into 2 new ones: Defenders for Netflix,
and the new ABC one.  :o ::)

EDIT: Oh sorry, right. Sony still holds half the rights to the Spider-Man franchise.
It's even worse.  :-\

And the old ABC one: basically SHIELD reacts to the MCU (like Netflix) but by now is its own continuity.

I still watch, "Agents of Shield" on ABC and this season started-off with a weird "Ghost Rider" tie-in thing that morphed into a mad scientist creating a false Matrix-like world to keep Agent Mae occupied while he had her captive. Add in an evil book and an out-of-control cyborg and it got deeply strange.

Now the whole cast is caught in this alternate Matrix/world as themselves but with their natural desires acted-out. And it actually works pretty well. I see Josh Weddon all over this with the cast playing totally different roles than in the previous episodes. It's like a mix of The Matrix meets the alternate universe episode of Star Trek. I'm actually liking the show again.

I haven't caught up with the show yet since the winter break; saving it for one long binge later.

I did notice some suggestions flying around that Ghost Rider would be ported into the Infinity War films -- not necessarily this GR, but the Johnny Blaze one (who has been shown to exist but not shown in his human form yet, in Shield).

I'm sure the "Darkhold" plot was introduced to tie in (potentially or actually) with Doctor Strange, since he's the character in comics canon most closely associated with it. (With Dracula coming in at second, mainly thanks to Dr.S leading the fight against Drac using the Darkhold which is what first created vampires.)
