Was it wrong of me to splash £30 on Railworks?

I'm not even sure what's involved, and I can't think it's that intriguing - but it's something I've never tried and thought...well, I don't know what I was thinking to be honest.

Anyone got it? Any good things to say about it? It's a moot point because I've got it now - but I'd be interested in other peoples take on it

^Don't you toy with me. I'm still smarting over missing that 6.79 price earlier today.

I've seen Steam do repeats later in their sales, so theres a good chance it'll show up again the last day or two of the sale...

My take on Railworks is that it would cost a small fortune to buy all the DLCs for it. So I didn't buy it, but that's just me. I'd like to hear from those who have though. Perhaps the hundreds of dollars spent on its DLC is worth it.
Regardless of how good a PC game may be it will always have its detractors and no matter how bad a PC game may be it will always have its fans.

Anyone have any thoughts about Stronghold 3?  I liked the early games in the series but never picked this up as it got some unpleasant reviews.

^I read too many crap reviews to go near Stronghold 3 although I did enjoy the first two games.

Steve you are a wizened old master...I am going to lurk over at Steam and see if the price for Deus Ex goes back down to 6.79 again.

Ugh...
Steam has been down for a while now.
This is all so plain silly.

Anyone have any issues with CK2 with steam? Can you play it in offline mode without being connected to steam? For some reason the gamers gate version or any gamers gate game, won't install on my computer so I'm thinking of picking it and all the DLC up on Steam.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

Thanks maybe I should stay away as well.

Anyone got any suggestions for a good sci-fi/space game on STEAM?

I bought this during the xmas sale, but at that time it was really cheap something like a few dollars.  I messed with it for awhile, but nothing I play all the time.  I certainly have no plans to buy all the expansions.  But for the price I paid, it was worth it just to drive around som trains.

Why won't GG games install on your computer?

Are you not using an Admin login for Windows or something?  Sounds like you have some permissions turned off if you can't use an installer.

And, yes, I've ran CK2 without even firing up Steam before (with the beta version anyway).  You've gotta run it from the CK2_RD.exe file in it's install location.  It should be the same way for retail, since it's the same version # these days anyway.  Looks like Paradox did us a favor by not putting all the Steam-required crap in the game exe.
