"It is nice to hear from you after such a long time. Thanks to Irma.  I am living in St Kitts now but my mom and other family members are in Anguilla.  I finally got in contact with her today .  They are fine some property damage but not extensive.

My aunt in Tortola lost her roof and everything inside but there is a downstairs where she and her husband can stay.  It was horrific I cannot imagine what they went through.  Her husband is a cancer patient so it is tough.  My uncle is also in Tortola and his brother in law is one of the fatalities there.

My middle son is in Florida so he is now under evacuation for the same Irma."

I find it shocking that Irma has claimed one of her relations in Tortola. You hear about these hurricane's in the UK but few here really knows what they mean for people as they happen every year with some damage, but not like this.

For any of you affected by Irma, or José I hope it affects you minimally. You are very much in my thoughts.

Boarded-up and locked & loaded here. Got bread and milk too. Tomorrow's gonna be a hell-of-a-busy day helping-out some locals getting ready and last minute shit. Thank the Good Lord my Son-in-Law helped me putting-up plywood over the windows and storing heavy stuff out of Irma's way hopefully. I'd have never gotten it all done alone ( maybe he's thinking about that inheritance his wife will get when I croak). So many people have called to tell us they are praying for us here. Of course none are wanting to come do it in person..... 

Don't know when I'll be able to get back on-line again but to all my Grog-Brothers--- THE PUG WILL PREVAIL!!! See you all soon.  \m/

Last Hurricane that went through Auburn smashed a bunch of houses through spawned tornadoes.  My roof was damaged and I had water damage.  One block away a house was hit by four big trees.  Two miles away from where I lived a house was totally smashed.

All except one of the 150-200 year old oaks in front of Samford Hall (oldest building on campus) were destroyed.

So yes, I am concerned.
