I try. I've put a fireworks show on for my neighborhood for the last 8-9 years now. Last year I spent $1,800, so this years show was a on the small side. But it was still a good one IMO.

I've noticed he gets a dedication or 2 in clancy books.... Its just and I mean just before my time on the political understanding view of things... Is he considered the US' best contemporary leader and was he recognised as this at the time?

Well The Wife and I thought we had a great idea when we got together with friends to watch 6-7 fireworks displays from surrounding towns while on the Hudson in our kayaks. Until a massive line of thunderstorms blew in. We took cover in a forest on a beach along the riverbank as the lightning shot down all around us. The Wife, who is typically solid as a rock, freaked out and we paddled back in almost total darkness except for her headstrap light and cloud to cloud lightning. We never go to the sand bar in the river where the party was. But we lived! Happy 4th all.

Thats a great story made even better by the fact that you survived to tell it.  :)
