If this was any other year, I would start this championship off by haranguing you, the voter, for picking ANY songs over two exemplars of popular music.  My Generation and I Got You (I Feel Good) are iconic to the point that even if you can't tell me the name of the song or who does it, you've run up against these songs in movies, tv, media, and on and on.  But the same can be said for Paint It, Black and Keep Me Hanging On.  So I blame you not at all, gentle voter, for doing as you have done.  Have at!
