LongBlade

As some of you may have noticed I've been less active around here for the past few weeks.

My absence was due to the death of my mom. I was spending time with her in her last two weeks and then was spending time with my dad and family after she passed.

I returned home last night and am starting to work my way through the stack of emails and posts I missed.

I'm looking forward to getting back into the insanity that passes for normal around here. :)

Sorry to hear about your Mom LB. Mine passed away about 4 years ago. Still miss her.

LongBlade

Thanks. My mom had cancer. The last couple of years were tough.

On one hand we knew it was coming and she was getting worse. On the other, now she's gone.

You and your family have my condolences.  I lost my mom to cancer when I was seven.  I miss her every day.  Time only dulls the pain, but it's ourselves we feel bad for because we won't see them again.  Take heart, my friend.

Very sorry to hear of your loss, LB, its not an easy thing to cope with. Time heals, however, and having the support of family and friends can be a great comfort.

Glad that your back, and hope that the pain passes soon.

Thanks, guys.

The main thing is that I'm working on getting back into the grove. I'm finding the influx of info is a bit to take in. Probably my next move is to get some gaming in and then write about it.

Sorry to hear about your mom, LB.  I know that's gotta be tough, even if/when you see it coming from a way's off.

I'm glad you're back, though.  :)

Glad to have you back, LB. My mom passed of cancer as well 15 years ago. I know it's tough. You've got lots of support around here, m'friend.

My condolences for the loss of your mom, Longblade. My own mother passed away when I was 21 and she was only 50 after losing a tough battle with leukemia.

Know in your heart that your mom is in a better place. A friend of mine once told me shortly after my mom's passing that "...you don't ever get over it, you just get used to it."

Stay strong.

I sorry, LB. you have my condolences. I'm very fortunate that both my parents are still with me, despite being in their 70s. You and your family have my sympathies. Is your Dad still with us? If so, I wish him the strength to adjust to life without your mom. Whether he says it or not, I'm sure he will need the rest of you more than ever.
