an example is when ships are attracted to other ships etc... we simply don't know how it works, but I assumed you all knew this.

Ships should be free to love who they love, without discrimination. Just because we call ships "she" shouldn't define who they are.

Don't tell Ghostryder, he's in denial.....

no one really knows how gravity works, we can estimate it, but we don't know.

Einstein already knew it decades ago : gravity is a result of the curvature of space-time.
In 1916, Albert Einstein suggested that gravitational waves could be a natural outcome of his theory of general relativity.

Gravitational waves won the physics nobel prize this year.

It isn't gravity pulling the two ships together. It's the differences in water pressure. Bernoulli's Principle isn't a theory. It's scientifically proven fact.

You can't dismiss a proven fact just because someone else did the work of proving it. I mean, you can if you want, but MikeGER might be right about that ride to the funny farm.

Bismark and Hood were attracted to each other and we all know how that ended.

no weight in space

incorrect

We are IN space and we have weight.
For objects in space we use the term mass  (it is mass that influences the space-time continuum)

I know you are all new to this gravity question, but maybe you can more see the problem

Yeah, I'm only studying astronomy for some 30 years ...
