Pretty sure I saw Steve post that he will never visit the Steam forums....too busy.

I don't remember him saying one way or the other but, unofficially, I would be shocked if he ever posts there. He may check it out to see the initial reactions. And even that is a hard may. For that matter, I'm not sure how much I'll be poking my head around there. All things Steam are pretty much Slitherine/Matrix. That isn't to say we haven't had a ton of input in how things go there. Just the "hands on" Steam stuff we haven't touched.

QuoteIt is kind of funny that it seems just about every Battlefront release seems to be met with some kind of delay, whether their fault or not:)

Tell me about it. It was the first thing I thought when I heard about it. I cursed a lot...not because it was going to be delayed a week but because I could picture the comments before they were written...........

in this thread steve said he has no plans to visit as other things to do

Yup. That sounds about right. I don't see me doing much there either. It's Slitherine's turf. If I do chime in it will be as a citizen, like I do here.

To be fair, Steam discussions are rarely worth engaging with anyways.
I was waiting for a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.

Sir Slash

Ohh SMACK! I knew somebody would go there, just didn't know who it'd be.  :-"

+1000. No online/electronic communication is ideal (except for Grogheads of course  ;D) but the Steam discussions/forums/whatever are certainly more towards the bottom of the barrel.

I agree...but with one exception.  From time to time I go there to ask a UI question about a game, like how do I do this or get that to happen, and I often get a fast, helpful reply.

I dunno, I find some good info in the Steam comments/reviews pretty regularly.

Agreed....I don't think there as bad as people make them out to be and certainly other forums can be no different at times.  You just need to weed through the obvious troll stuff, which is usually easy to spot.

And some great guides, tips, and tutorials.

Now that you mention it I should probably frequent the Steam forums more often. When I get stuck in whatever game, which is often, Google searches actually lead me to Steam-posted solutions.

Sir Slash

I did find a very helpful guide to installing Stainless Steel 6.4 for Medieval TW 2 from the forum.  :notworthy:

Just got notices that it's out!    My 11-year discount came at just the right time.   Seems like every other time I get a discount there's nothing I want (and don't already have...).  :-)

Skoop

How does the discount from owning shock force 1 work ?  Do I buy it from bfc to get the discount, then get a steam key ?  Or can I buy it from steam and also get the shock force 1 discount ?
