Everyone enjoy...

Very close to completing the last Metro Exodus DLC and moving on to the first Division game, never played it when it was new.

After getting a fun idea from a comment in one of MengJiao's threads, I'm dipping my toes into a bit of game design and writing a visual novel in the Ren'Py engine, which uses a scripting language based on Python.  The game is called "A War of a Madman's Making" and it's heavily inspired by Suzerain and Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa.  It's a psychological horror / political maneuvering / war-planning game where you play as the field marshal of a large nation led by a deranged dictator who launches a brutal, ill-planned invasion against a neighboring nation. The goal of the game is to rein the disastrous campaign into something resembling a victory while surviving the purges as the Great Leader maddens with time. As the game goes on, communications from the Great Leader descend into rageful and incoherent babbling, and it becomes increasingly unclear how exactly to placate him. There will be options to scheme among the Great Leader's staff and possibly defect to the West or overthrow the dictator.

It'll be quite a while until it's in workable shape but I'm pretty happy with the opening prologue and planning bits I've written so far.  I just need to figure out how to create some decent music and visual art and I'll be in great shape.   :crazy2:

Otherwise, I'll be playing Groomsman at my Friend's Wedding on Saturday.  Other than that, I'm dipping my toes back into Suzerain to stoke some inspiration for my WIP game.
I was waiting for a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.

^Impressive ambition there!

Awesome song 👍🏼

I've had lots of fun playing Master of Orion 4 again last week. Love the game. A shame it wasn't supported ( but it has some great mods). Playing a large campaign with the Psilons.

What mods do you play with? Are you referring to MOO: CTS?

Yes. Mostly the bugs fixing fan mod/patch and the ultimate balance mod.

That's ambitious!  (The game design and game work, not the Groomsmannery).  I'm going to be working on my farm mostly this weekend -- which is to say trying to find what is stored in what boxes in the Barn and fixing some stoves and roofs and things.  If I have some game time, I'll be messing with Harpoon V and CMANO trying to see what's up with antiship missiles these days.

TW Warhammer III.
I am trying to play Distant Worlds 2 but it keeps crashing. Matrix has stopped providing beta patches to direct customers. You have to go through Steam or GOG to get the beta. I refuse to.  Edit: Erik at Matrix says they will be providing patches to all once they get the immediate rush of patches out the door.
I may play some Shadow Empire with the new patch they released. Warhammer III is not grabbing me.

Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West for me with a sprinkling of Gran Tourismo 7
Insert witty comment here.

Probably some Distant World 2 if I have time between PBEM's and testing.

Dammit Carl!

Riding mower is supposedly fixed, so time to mow the yard for the first time of the year.

Otherwise, will putter along with something game-wise; War Thunder probably.
