Just curious, anyone have a must buy game you're considering?  I have yet to try one of their naval games....will have to look them over and decide.

Anyone pick up anything yet?  Still on the fence as I have so many unplayed WDS games, but I just feel like I have to purchase something:)

Kind of torn between Napoleon, Modern Air Power, and Squad Battles.  I would love some of the other WWII/Modern campaign such games, but they feel way too large for me

I splurged and got SB Spanish Civil War, completing my collection of that series and I also picked up Salerno 41, Sealion 40 and Kiev 43.  I would have picked up Salerno long ago had I known it included Crete.

Thanks...so many choices, not sure what I will end up doing.....probably should just play what I have before buying new, but that is no fun:)

Just an FYI - a major overhaul of the SB series is underway - with fixes, enhancements, etc. You should start seeing those in the not to distant future, beginning with Advance of the Reich and Red Victory. Eventually all the titles will see the updates.

Plan on getting War Over Vietnam to complete my Modern Air Power series.  Really wish they would make more games in that series.

We have more planned, just a matter of managing programming resources... eventually you'll see another.

Interested in your thoughts as these are options for me too...

They are good games and I'm glad they are in my library, but I think they have been superceded by games like CMO, which have very robust, detailed and complex aviation elements in terms of databases for aircraft and weaponry, mission planning, logistics combat, etc.

If you wanted something more narrow in scope, complexity and reach, they might be a good option.

I tried the demo for Modern Air Power, but just couldn't get into it after CMO.   I just wish I could get Fleet Command working right  :(

Going to try to put together a bulk discount order, think I can find enough titles I have an interest in. I have 1 game each in the early American Wars, WW1, and Civil War series, so probably won't purchase any in those series until I put in some play time and see if I take to the series. I have all the Panzer Battles titles, my favorite scale and series. Thought Moscow would be out by now but guess there busy updating there asses off :bd:. No more modern war as I have 3 of those series, not interested in Korea at the PZC scale and will probably pick up Fulda sooner or later. Probably fill out my SB series, thinking Korea, Dien Bien Phu, Tour of Duty, Winter War, and mix/match with some PZC titles like something in 1943, Moscow 41, and like Jarhead Salerno with make my list.

I don't buy all the wargames I want, I just buy more than I need.

That's exactly why I like them.  ;)  Sometimes I just don't feel like dealing with the complexity of CMO.  I think the MAP series is much more accessible and suited to a quick session.  Either way, I'm glad to see that their will eventually be more.

Thanks Budd and to all that are supporting us through the sale and for the last year that WDS has been up and running.

Firstly, we are still slogging away at Panzer Battles Moscow. There has been a lot of scope creep with this title and it may ultimately become two games. We are currently expanding the map to allow us to cover a lot of really interesting engagements in January/February 1942. I was the 'driving' force behind all the Panzer Battles titles and my involvement in all the updates to the Panzer Campaigns series and others has pulled me away. The good news is that we have additional scenario designers starting to pick up the slack and that will help us get back on track. We have other Panzer Battles titles planned and in some case maps already created. You can read more on Panzer Battles Moscow here in our Quarter Two update: https://wargameds.com/blogs/news/2022-quarter-two-update

As far as the Squad Battles series, that is my other big focus. As Rich touched on earlier in the thread we are going to essentially 'remaster' the series. A lot of the coding is done and we now are redoing artwork and a lot of the orders of battles and in some cases scenarios so we can use all the cool new features and artwork being added.

Following are a couple of example screenshots from different periods of development (see the toolbar changes?). Most are using the new zoom level so you can get down and dirty with the men. Vehicles and guns now have in-game facing representation and we have ditched the top-down figures for men and back to portrait. All graphics are work in progress and the last couple with snow don't have all features enabled yet. Expect snowy trees, houses, roads etc something we have now implemented in Panzer Battles Moscow. The last screen shot is a comparison of what we published in the 4.00 release so you can compare to what will be in the 4.01 upgrade.

All these screenshots are at 1920 x 1080.

So there is a lot being worked on and a lot coming. Happy Holidays to all!
