Seven boaters were injured and five were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries as a result of a bizarre accident--which was caught on videotape--Friday on Missouri's Lake of the Ozarks. Viewers can fast-forward to the 1:16 mark of the first video, which is a news compilation by Lake TV, or find just the incident in the second video, which borrows Lake TV footage. Viewers should note that the footage shows the extremely violent nature of an accident that occurred when the powerboat Fountain encountered wakes caused by another boat.

1/. didn't have the engine kill key attatched to his wrist
2/. the boat's trim was too high on the bow

30 years ago Lake of the Ozarks was overcrowded. Table Rock Lake was nice. These days? Pass.

After reviewing the video the troopers determined  that Marvin Carter was driving the boat too fast reaching speeds as high as 70 miles per hour.

They arrested Carter for careless and imprudent driving.
