Same Devs as WITPAE which is a fantastic game. New additions are from Spain and thus brought a lot to this project! A must buy for me!

If anyone wants a more indepth look the guy below is doing a full tutorial series on (appropriately enough) the tutorial scenario with the Republicans ayyempting their invasion of the Belearics at the start of the war.

Watched it through and I am sold already despite never really playing WITPAE

At first glance I would never consider finding time to play this.  After reading more into it, the detail seems insane and the fact that it's only spain makes it more playable at this level of detail.  I might have to get this just for the fact that it seems really interesting, even though I may never find the proper time to play it.

Awesome. I actually never played much WITPAE because--at least at the time I tried it--you couldn't delegate the China theater to the AI, and I just didn't want to do all that. But I played a ton of WITP and the reviews all said WITPAE was an improvement--but I just couldn't.

The description looks very interesting. I don't really know all that much about the Spanish CW but I could easily see this game getting me into it.

Same here.  Also they're pitching it as the first of a series using this new engine, so it might be worth the support to promote them to produce something in a more "fashionable" theatre

I've just received a heads up from Paolo@Slitherine on this. It looks good and at first glance very reminiscent of War in the Pacific Admirals Edition, which is not surprising as it is developed by the same team. They say on the store page that it is based on a new game engine with a variety of new mechanics and a new refreshing approach. It seems to me a deep, detailed game especially attractive to those wanting the grognard experience.

Paolo had this to say of it:

The thing with these games is in my mind the insane detail seems cool, then I sit down to play and it's too much.  They said AE was an improvement over the original witp, but they took away the sector to the AI option, so I felt like AE was actually a down grade.

Now with this game, it would be cool to have some friendly ai automation for quality of life play or is it just more tedious clicking thus becoming a carpal tunnel simulator versus war in Spain simulator.
