Only because if I don't stop playing it I might not see sunlight ever again I have stepped away from x4

I'm now engrossed in a terra invicta play through I'm enjoying greatly - after 3 real life years of playing the game I've built my first ship - it's only a pea shooter but thats all it needs to be - it has just enough of everything to poke its nose through the upper atmosphere and fire every torpedo it has at an alien ship surveying the earth from low orbit - it is armed with close in weapons systems so I'm hoping they get through

I also bought against the storm in the steam sale and am loving that also - just finished the tutorial so about to venture out into the big wide to see how I fare

Practically all my games are grand sweeping and epic and it's very rare you see the end so occasionally I hanker for some simple mindless destruction and am investigating both hell divers 2 or arc raiders but I feel I may be getting a tad old for the draw of PvP and maybe drawn to hell divers pve elements

If not that then GTA III is on sale after bouncing off 4 and 5

This little single player mission was great fun. Enter a pirate base, find the lift to the hangars and steal a ship full of cargo. 200k was made selling the cargo inside this freelancer.


A friends ship. He actually won this through some kind of competition. I think it's a Corsair. We rarely use it because all the firepower faces forwards and you need a fair amount of crew to man them all in such a small ship.


Stategos is just really satisfying. I don't feel like I am constrained by turns and I also don't feel like battles are the random crowd control mode through flags that is modern total war.

I've been glued to Star Wars: Empire at War with the EAW Remake mod. It is glorious! Also playing the full EA build of Menace. It is one of my most eagerly anticipated games of the year. Wish I could give my impressions, but I'm under embargo. Finally, the new version of the Starfield mod Star Wars Genesis is set for release this weekend. If that hits, I'll play that too...if I can find the hardrive space for it.

Stay safe in the cold and snow fellas. We're looking at somewhere between 12-18 inches of snow this weekend.

I started a Field of Glory: Empires game as Rome.  About ten years into the game now, while playing out the battles using FoG.  Also doing a lot of playtesting of TF Admiral.   Plus, BoC work and Fight Club work.  And dealing with -30 degree celius (-19 degree F) temps.  But no snow.  Stay warm, y'all!

Played with some Americans and Canadians today. They had two Perseus ships fully crewed and I just provided some fighter cover, which is what the Perseus really needs. Fighters tend to get on larger ships rear areas and sit there. It's a long weekend here:

Signed up for the 3 month subscription to HOI4.  Lets you have access to all DLC's.  Hadn't played in a few years so it's changed a great deal.  My credit card is expiring in February so if I can't figure out how to cancel it in 3 months, they can't charge me again
