Ouch.  Lousy week for Star Trek fans, First Chekov, now Capt Picard.  Where's Q when he really needs him?

Claudius twice, once against 'I, Claudius' (ironically), once against Doctor Who (almost as ironically). Great both times.

Today I learned (though I feel like I remember this vaguely), he also played King Lear in a modern(?) western a few years ago. Several other Shakespearean roles, including Macbeth in a weird alternate 1930s.

Also a major side character (and for the first game its narrator) in the "Lords of Shadow" remake series of Castlevania set up by Hideko Konami. Great Halloween story for the first game at least! -- I'd play it again this year but too busy on other things.
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

When I was in law school, a classmate was a huge trekkie. He brought me to two local Trek conventions. Both of them featured Patrick Stewart as a guest. In one of them, I couldn't tell if he was just having a bad day, or what, but it was obvious Stewart did not want to be there. He gave a ten minute talk, speaking mostly about his Shakespearean endeavors and his theater work. I think he was on Broadway at the time. He hardly mentioned Star Trek. He opened it up to questions at the end and I will never forget this...

This little kid dressed as a Borg approaches the microphone. He couldn't have been more than 11 or 12. He asks:

"If you could change anything about Captain Pickard, what would it be?"

I kid you not, Pickard told this little Borg that he was not going to answer the question because, "frankly, questions like that bore me..."

He destroyed that kid's soul.

In any event...RIP.  :cylonA:

Remember that time that Patrick Stewart got a nose bleed and bled out a hot, naked space vampire chick?  Good times....

a nice responce would have been "its the 24th century and they have STILL not a cure to let a man's hair grow on the skull again ;-) " )
