Woke up this morning to see that a package had arrived for me yesterday and was waiting for me by my desk.

LB I should have picked up the Mediterranean expansion at Prezcon.

You loving it that much?

I don't mind going back and checking under the tables for a copy that may have fallen off, but by now I figure housekeeping has already listed it on Ebay.

My tax return will be in the bank next Monday!

Late next week I'm heading down to High River to visit, since my nieces are in a skating carnival.

The Sentry Box is in Calgary, on the way to High River...

Sorry, bank account.  ;D

Question: What do you do when your flight home is cancelled due to a snow storm and you are stuck in Boise, ID for about 18 hours?

Answer: You find a local game store and buy a game that is supposedly good solitaire that you have been eyeing for a while.

That sucks you're stuck. The weather has lifted here. I have been thinking about you. Can't remember any trees too close to the house, but I wanted to ask how you were doing.

All good.  The family only lost power for about 12 hours.  Thanks for asking.

DV8 that is a fine example of making the best of a situation.

Let me know what you think of Laby once you try it.  I have a copy of it and Twilight Struggle but have yet to get it on my table.  I've watched games of each played so I have a good idea of how it goes.  I've also played it via wargameroom.com but it's not the same.

Let me get this straight.  DV7 is stuck in a snowstorm in the middle of Idaho and is able to walk into a LGS and purchase an actual GMT game off the shelf?   Meanwhile I've been to at least a dozen LGS in the greater Richmond/Washington DC corridor and have seen exactly ONE GMT game.  What the hell?

More people in Virginia appreciate GMT and keep their games flying off the shelves.

The backwoods rubes of Boise, ID are too busy trying to swim in their blue football field to appreciate the elegance and class of GMT tabletop wargaming.

or maybe not...?

DV8 is cool like that. He's kinda like MacGyver, but with kick ass games: when nobody knows WTF is going on, he'll appear and be like, "Hey, I've got this cool new game!"
