...the single most immersive movie EVER?

I've just watched it - all 4 hours - for the umpteenth time and I'm gobsmacked everytime I watch it at how stifling and chlostrophobic they managed to make it. The sense of tenstion is almost unbearable.

And what a very sad an poingnant ending!

in terms of tension, and 'oh man theyre f*****' with relentless action, the only other film i would credit with the same is Black Hawk Down

I would agree with that.  I almost felt exhausted after the first time I watched Black Hawk Down.

I was pretty engrossed with The Devil Wears Prada the other night.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

when I was in 6th grade, we got a tour of the studio in Munich where they filmed it.  The sets felt like they were tiny, and we were all kids at the time.  I can't imagine how they squeezed adults into those spaces.
Truthfully, though, most of the class (me included) were more interested in the sets where they filmed The Neverending Story.
