Positives:
-Carl going down a darker end, due to what he has learned from others ("don't be sorry" -Morgan)
-Daryl lives
-Gov finally snaps and has witnesses
-great soundtrack
-Andrea is gone

Negatives
-Wasteful talking between Andrea/Milton that led to a hammed-up ending
-no resolution of Gov v. Rick
-No real solid ending compared to S2's Rick's declaration of his Ricktatorship
-No new WD until October

Guess its time to order more of the comics for alternative viewpoints and perhaps looks at other series to start in the meantime.

I actually expected Tyreese to find them before Milton turned and save the day.
as per the comics the Gov. will somehow become Nagan and that story will be concluded in the first half of next season.
this solves the problem of repeating the bad guy/group of the season issue that can get boring quick.  it also leaves open the next main issue these people will have.  with any luck it'll take off on a pseudo WWZ type storyline of taking the world back by way of meeting up with a larger organized community but focusing on the individuals storyline.

I think that is the way it will go.

I also wonder how many more seasons they have, do they have an end point in mind, like BSG, or will they keep retelling the same stories until the series is cancelled.

well the comic series is no where near an end and I dont think they have an endgame for the tv series yet.  I think theyll keep going as long as the ratings are there.  you might like reading this web series: http://adriansundeaddiary.com/  damn good stuff and a possible story path as well.

Looks like The Walking Dead beat out its competition last night and set a new record for itself.  Good news for fans of the show.

How powerful a ratings champ is "The Walking Dead"? Not only did Sunday night's third-season finale beat the miniseries finale of "The Bible" on History Channel and the third-season premiere of "Game of Thrones" on HBO, but "The Walking Dead" season-ender also broke the series' own ratings record.

There were 12.4 million viewers who tuned in to see dozens of deaths and some major changes in residency on "The Walking Dead" finale, setting a new ratings record for the AMC zombie apocalypse drama. Nine million viewers watched the show's Season 2 finale, while the show's old ratings record was 12.3 million viewers for its midseason return in February.
