So this game keeps popping up every time I log into STEAM and it is tempting me.  Would this be a good introduction to Eastern Front operational gaming as I've never played one before?

Now that's a good question. The mechanics are easy but the AI is tough.  Your choice is a toss-up between one of the Strategic Command titles and UoC. UoC is cheaper.
