I'm slightly disappointed that you didn't squeal in fright.

It was a good time guys.

That was pretty good. And I didn't really suck either. I'll play again!

It was alot of fun and this time I didn't axe Bison in the back!   ;D

True but you did shoot SDR at point blank range in the back of the head.  I'm seeing a pattern develop.

Oh man, I just had the BEST gaming experience ever.  So I join a random MP game and it's a map called, "The Concert".  Basically it's a stadium and you start the battle by starting the concert and when you start, this rock music starts playing, flares start shooting all over, and then zombies just come piling over the seats.  I'm standing on the stage just going full auto on the hordes with this intense rock music playing...it was so epic.  I had this huge smile and I'm just blazing away!

I can't seem to find it again...damn I wish I had had my fraps set up!

That's the final level on one of the maps. I forget which one at the moment. Yes, it's a blast.

If you like L4D2 you should buy the first one. It's actually better in terms of backstory. You need to play it about 20 times to get all the one-liners, but each of the characters will razz the others from time to time. Oh, and the shopping mall where you bust out of it with the car (an homage to the Dukes of Hazard) is not to be missed.

Says the guy who shot Gus to death just to use the defib paddles on him. :)

When you guys want to play again? Well worth the 5 dollah.

A comment on the weapons in L4D2.

The hunting rifle and sniper rifle will generally one-shot zombies, as will the .50 pistol. Those are my preferred go-to guns. However, a group should try to round out its load-outs. When a rush comes the group needs to huddle in a safe corner, put shotguns forward to mow down most of the group (while kneeling) with rifles/auto behind cutting down the survivors. There's actually a fair amount of tactical consideration that needs to be formulated into a group rush.

I need to configure my mouse buttons so I can speak with my headset (I prefer to activate my mic with my right thumb rather than whatever the default key is on the keyboard). Next time we can chat about how to approach these levels. Generally speaking flashlights should always be turned off. The group needs to stick together. No one should be more than about 15 feet forward of the group unless there's a really good reason for it. I'm sure I'll have a few other tips as I think about it.

I'm free for a bit but will have to bug out in a couple of hours. Should be free tonight.

I'll be on it a bit later. Plus I have a better idea of what's going after last night ( can still hear that frying pan - 'Gloiiinnngggg).

As eveyone knows I'm too lazy to use a push to talk key.  I like to share my potato chip eating with the whole group.  :D

Gusington

I noticed. Thought maybe you were bit and eating brains.

I have storm prep to do today but this evening if I have power and cable should be able to play some...not as late though. I was gaming last night until 3am :)

If I go on tonight it will be around 10pm EST.

Yeah, I just pretend the crunching sound is Gus's ankle bones getting gnawed off.  I'm thinking if Tent's in the group again, we may need helmets.

So that's what the crunching noise was?

For a time it was my ankles being knawed. Multiple times.

I can be online for another game but only after watching this week's The Walking Dead so probably just after 10pm EST.

I've noticed this as I've played.  If I run around like crazy shooting zombies during a horde rush (my usual reaction) I take alot more damage then when I huddle up with others in a good spot. (Also it has been reported I may also hit friends in this frenzied state).  I've also noticed if you can get some elevation on the zombies i.e. climb up on a car, dumpster, building etc.  it slows them down a bit as they try to climb up and you can knock them off to buy yourself time to reload.  And if Bison is in the group no one needs to worry about the jockeys they seek him and only him out :)

No internet since 5.00pm and will not be fixed until some time tomorrow, so no MP for me. Thank you Virgin Media, thanks a lot!
