Don't be silly..either of you.

Brant is almost as silly as I am, which is saying something.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I started following Wargamer.com ten years ago to the month after I purchased my first computer and got online at 26kbs. As I was learning how to navigate the web I found it as a link on some sight describing WWII German armor I believe. I am somewhat an introvert and work crazy construction hours. So even though I followed the forums everyday I didn't feel as if I had anything to contribute until 2006 when I registered as Spacecowboy67 and made my first post. Needless to say I've watched the site evolve over the years for better and worse and  have enjoyed the great reviews, commentary and opinions of people that I now find in preponderance on Grogheads. As I have broke away from my well worn site I also have with my forum name.
I am home.

Anyone with an Eddings-inspired forum name is good in my book :)

Sparhawk, good to see you here.  And isn't it LeGuin, not Eddings?

Sparhawk is the protagonist of the Elenium series from Eddings.

I read them the summer of '90 when I was Eurailing my way around Germany & France.

You're asking someone here not to be silly?

I think we'd die if we tried to stop!  ;D

This whole thing has gone completely over my head, since I was barely aware of the other site's existence at all, and certainly never visited their forum.  I'm only here because SoM made me!  It was quite an opportune conversation though, because I'd just quit another forum after falling out with half the membership. :D

Anyway.  Sorry, I believe you were all calling each other names and stuff.  Carry on!

For some reason I've never read the Elenium series from Eddings. Someone did mention to me once how they enjoyed the story. Le Guin is one of my favorite authors and I once had such a crush on her daughter Caroline. As a teenager I wondered if Sparhawk could have developed from Sparrowhawk. But truth be told my Grandmothers side of the family are Sparhawks, and specifically her father's name was Lafayette Sparhawk. He went by Lafe. He's always captured my imagination and every fantasy ranger I've ever created has been called Lafe Sparhawk. Well I ramble, but there you have where my unique name comes from.

Cool story, bro. No sarcasm intended.
