Interesting observation ABD. I don't get over there much and I never read their forums unless someone posts a link here.

Regardless of what takes place there we are hoping to offer an open forum for discussion of most anything you like. Our primary focus is gaming, but we all do stuff in RL that goes beyond gaming. So open a cold one and chat about almost anything that comes to mind. That's what we're about here.

I tend to avoid most threads at BGG.  I tried posting in a few and the conversations seemed to rarely go anywhere.  I offered some Origins advice to people over the years, but not too much else.

Wodin has PM'ed me with a request for a truce after my latest deconstruction of his ramblings

http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/878171/wargamer-com-the-long-farewell/page/4

I read his request as "I realize you're right but I don't feel like trying to resist, so I'm hoping you'll have pity on me"

Those of you who remember what happened with Hairog at That Other Placeā„¢ will remember that if people start making wild assertions, and I start asking for proof of them, I am unlikely to let go.  However, in this case, in the interest of not boring BGG to death, I may just let it go...   for now.

You pwned the man.  There is no more profit in it.

That thread on BGG will be locked soon me thinks, best to get you post in now while you still have a chance.
The BGG Wargames Illuminati are not posting in the thread, they'll soon grow bored of it, declare it off topic, hit their beloved Red X Button and demand their puppet of a moderator lock it.

BGG is basically run as a corporate self promoting website, one thing they (moderators and groupthink mob) disdain above all else is anything that distract from safe, user friendly bullshit threads about counter clipping or incestuous backside patting "look at me!, look at me!...you are sooo cool bro!".
Any cumbersome controversy that does not comport to their shared world view is simply not allowed, their own hypocritical statements about alleged diversity and fairness of opinion notwithstanding.
They (moderators and "friends") allow multi-sockpuppet accounts to obviously bait 'n troll for years and years but when honest members attempt to raise objection they are pounced upon and belittled.

Intelligent informative dialogue has long ceased to exist on BGG Wargames (unless one has a burning addiction to "what is a wargame", "is [game X] a wargame", "am I a wargamer" threads).

Sounds like the kind of accusations made against the "in crowd" and mods of this site!

There is truth to this statement. I've been on the receiving end of "who is a wargamer" and how a "wargamer acts" and what a "wargamer plays." It was mostly nonsense BS groupthink.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

What, you "dated" 3 different Latinas in one month?

You pumped 3 different burds in one month? Were you ill for the other 3 weekends or waiting for the all clear?
