Shhhhh......I'm downloading it now and didn't want to tip anyone off until I get it on my computer! Avoiding the rush, you know?  ;D ;D ;D

Steelgrave, if you need a multi-player opponent after you'd learned to play, I'd be happy to be your first patsy.  :)

All you people need to press pause... I'm getting slow DL speeds because of you bandwidth hogs!
"Now it is no accident all these conservatives are using time travel to teach our kids. It is the best way to fight back against the liberal version of history, or as it is sometimes known... history."

"The purpose of religion is to answer the ultimate question, are we in control or is there some greater force pulling the strings? And if the courts rule that corporations have the same religious rights that we humans do, I think we'll have our answer."

Looking forward to some initial impressions.....trying to hold off......please tell me how horrible it is to help me save some cash today:)  I have at least sworn to myself to not buy until some additional impressions are given.

Tip: if necessary use Google Translate or similar.

Double Deuce

I'm torn between Commander: The Great War and Strategic Command WWI only because I have a deep interest in the Russian Civil War. I know Strategic Command World War I Breakthrough has it covered but I think I would rather go with the Commander: The Great War game. Anyone heard rumors if there may be a mod or addon down the road to cover that time frame?

Lord Zimoa

The game just released, but I`me sure mods will follow. The game can be modded with LUA scripting and on top we are working on a full and simple to use game editor to be released in the near future, to enhance moddability for the ones not into LUA scripting.

Next review of Commander: The Great war from Strategyprime 4/5 stars!

Have you played Revolution Under Siege?

I'm about halfway through my first 118-turn Commander: The Great War campaign at present, and can't recall enjoying a grand-strategic WWI title more. Lordz seem to have judged the scale, pace and workload just about perfectly.

Great call tgb. I knew we were missing something.

On the boardgame side there is also Triumph of Chaos.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I have Napoleon's Campaigns which I believe uses the same game engine and for some reason it just didn't click with me. I do see it's only $19.99 on the Matrix Games Christmas Sale list so I might give it a chance.

The Nappy product was an anomaly in an otherwise good series.  Commander Europe at War was nice.
