Fairly lukewarm impression of what must be pretty close to a release copy. Pretty much confirms what I thought and the reasons I wont be buying.

Why are there negatives being discussed about a game when it's still in development? A preview should never do that.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

I'm not sure he broke any new ground with the negative reaction to the AI.  That is not a new discussion regarding the CC AI.  The note about a lack of an increased speed option does seem at odds with the praise for the real time earlier in the article.

He didn't, but it's a cardinal rule of previewing a game that only the most egregious of errors are called out.

It's a bad practice to be critical in a preview and ACG's editors know it. Normally I refrain from commenting on other website, but I used to be ACG's gaming editor. They know better, even if their reviewer doesn't.  :(

Well I suppose in his defence it cant be still in "active" development if its releasing in november. Other than that not familiar with the etiquette of previews as opposed to a review.

review seems pretty good to me for a CC game.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.
