Nah just kidding

There is an interesting project at Kickstarter for an animated movie on Chosin.  Not too sure they will generate enough interest or have a big enough market but i wish them well

It is indeed odd that Chosin has been somewhat overlooked by popular media outlets when you consider what an incredible fight it was.  I've read a couple accounts of the battle and it was by every measure a true test of tenacity, professionalism, sacrifice and heroism.

I like that he is thinking of doing this with animation...a format that allows certain kinds of artistic interprettation and engagement that, if and when used properly, create compelling emotional engagement.

I haven't "kick-started" anything, but I probably will this.
Now, the problem is, how to divide five Afghans from three mules and have two Englishmen left over.

I think that back in the 50s, the marines made a documentary movie on Chosin in Black&White.
There was a TV show, "Uncommon Valor" and it was either on that, or perhaps Walter Cronkite's show, The Twentieth Century.
Probably not available, but you never know.

During filming of Airplane, Leslie Nielsen used a whoopee cushion to keep the cast off-balance. Hays said that Nielsen "played that thing like a maestro"
