wow, id seen the forecast - ill expect it here tonight then, thats if the combined heat of all the fake tan of the local residents doesnt melt it

Come over here in Feb. when the snow bank around my driveway is 4 ft tall....  :P

When we stayed in Kenmore back in '04, the balcony of our room was about even with the snow line along the hills.  There was snow on the roof of the bldg, but 30 feet below on the car, there was no snow on it or the ground.  Where we were driving out to Aberfeldy, the snow line was clearly visible along the edge of the road.  It was the only time I'd ever seen the snow line that clearly edged in my life.

LOL - I'm sure what we get is nothing like the stuff that you do.
Its been snowing on-and-off for the last few hours and we have about 2" on the ground. Can get a bit nasty if it goes on for a few days, as the local council seem incapable of keeping the roads clear, so all grinds to a halt.

Its actually coming down quite heavy now. Maybe it'll be too bad to get to work tomorrow :-)

Have been off on holiday for last 3 days to do Christmas shopping, plus its Mrs Bob's B/D to day (I should have got her a new frying pan to replace the one that I ruined by having it 'Gloiiinnngg'd' off my nut so many times)....

Anyway, I'm glad we went out early or we would have been in the thick of it now.

Last winter was mild, but the year before that the combined ice and snow almost crushed my roof. It would snow, then warm up, then rain, then get cold again, and the ice slab on my roof was almost impossible to get rid of. I still love winter though :)
