Hello all,

this is on Steam for $12.95, down from $50.00. Does it make a huge difference to the base game?

Very, very big difference

New wonders
Changes to old wonders
Several new civs
New resources (luxury and production)
Espionage
Reconfigured combat model
Faith - religions, new ways to purchase stuff, news types of influence
City-States - more, and some custom resources


HUGE changes, almost a whole new game

Gods and Kings really improves the base game alot.  I certainly enjoy the game much more with it's added features.

Definitely get this expansion, it is worth the money and adds alot of replayability.

I picked up the digital GOG version of Arcanum for the steampunk-iest fix, so no shortage in that category atm.  :D
